The Daewoo Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam

Hanoi Daewoo Hotel is a modern five-star hotel, part of the Daeha Business Centre Complex, which also consists of a 15-storey apartment building and an 15-storey office tower.
The Daeha Business Centre is a joint venture with a total investment of 177 million dollars between the South Korean industrial giant Daewoo and the state-run Hanoi Electronic Company (Hanel). The joint venture was signed on a 38-year term. The Korean partner holds a 70-percent stake while the Vietnamese contributes the rest.
The construction of the project began in December 1993 and the complex, including the hotel, was brought into operation in April 1996, six months ahead of the plan. Since April 1997, the hotel has been accepted as a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, a hotel chain that includes 312 deluxe hotels around the world.
Hanoi Daewoo Hotel has in total 411 rooms including 33 suites, designed and built with highest architectural standards. It also contains eight F&B outlets, including four excellent restaurants - Cafe Promenade (international cuisine), Silk Road (Chinese restaurant), La Paix (Italian restaurant) and Edo (Japanese restaurant) -, a Fitness Centre, a swimming pool of 80 metres and a luxurious garden.

To serve every business need, the hotel offers a sophisticatedly equipped Business Centre and the largest to date in Hanoi Grand Ballroom which can handle conferences for up to 800 people.
Above all else, the hotel owns one of the richest Vietnamese modern painting collections in the country, thanks to the efforts of Mdme Heeja Chung, Chairwoman of the PIL Korea Ltd., that runs the management of the hotel.

At present there are more than 1,000 paintings worth nearly one million dollars in the hotel. The hotel also runs an art gallery in conjunction with a famous Hanoi gallery.

Location
The hotel is situated by the shore of scenic Thu Le Lake. It is an unhurried oasis in the heart of the citys business and diplomatic district. The old quarter of Hanoi where the main the main shopping area can be found is a 15 minute drive away.

Directions from Airport to Hotel
The Noi Bai International Airport is 40 kilometers away from the hotel; by taxi approximately 40 minutes to reach the hotel. Drive south on Nam Thang Long Road. Turn on to Road 32, then drive straight
 Accommodation
Rooms are specially designed to accomodate the needs of todays state-of-the-art traveller. Hotel guest rooms provide a peaceful retreat from the sounds of the city. Suites are conveniently separated into living and sleeping areas providing guests with ample space to work and unwind.

Deluxe Room
The hotel offers 330 deluxe rooms including 255 deluxe twin rooms and 75 deluxe king rooms. All rooms are in 34 square meters and equipped with sitting area with a sofa set, writing desk with chair, and a private bar. One marble-floored bathroom, both of rooms and batyhrooms aret in very good condition. All room have large windows with city view or Thu Le Lake view.

Executive room
The hotel offers 47 executive rooms in 34 square meters. Located on the 15th-17th floor. All rooms are equipped with sitting area with a sofa set, writing desk with chair, and a private bar. One marble-floored bathroom, both of rooms and batyhrooms aret in very good condition. All room have large windows with city view or Thu Le Lake view. Access to the Executive Lounge on the 16th Floor where buffet breakfast and happy hours, from 17.30-19.30, are provided. A private workstation with Hi-speed Internet access is also available here for use.
Suites
The hotel offers 34 suites. All the 33 Suites seclude the bedroom from the living room for greater privacy when entertaining guests or holding informal meetings. Large windows provide a view of the Thu Le Lake or the city skyline. The luxurious master bathroom has a marble vanity, make-up/shaving mirror, deep soaking tub and a separate shower.
The living area features a sofa set and coffee table. Rooms feature a video player and in-room safe. The rooms feature traditional Vietnamese artwork and the finest fabric in the shades of cream and beige with a coordinating marble-floored bathroom.
Of these, the opulent Presidential Suite is a grand setting for gracious entertaining. Located high above the city on the Hotels seventeenth floor, it offers panoramic views of Hanoi and the Hotel pool.
